Oregon Manifest ‘09
RAPHA produced video covering the race from Vimeo
What would happen if we subjected one of our bikes, designed for urban transport, to a grueling 77 miles race designed by Rapha for the 2009 Oregon Manifest Constructors race?
We really had no idea.
We did know that we wanted to push the limits of what folks expected from a box bike so we built a standard Metrofiets frame and raced it for 77 miles over wash-boarded gravel roads with off camber turns and 5,000 ft. of elevation climb.
So how did we do?
We finished the race (first in CAT3 for the race) and were awarded 7th place out of 31 for design.
Not bad for a city bike.
